Dear Friends of the NAACP:

On behalf of our Membership, we thank you for your continued support
of this Branch and belief in the NAACP. As you are aware, this Branch is
extremely active, keeping a watchful eye for all in the name of justice and equality.

In order to effect positive change in this country and until every vestige
of racial bigotry is eliminated, we must vote. We encourage every voter
to be educated on the positions of every candidate for office. We invite
you to join us for our candidates forums before each election which
offers you the chance to ask questions of your local candidates for office. Please remember in NJ there are three elections to vote in each year with the school board, the primary and the general election.

I will continue to involve Plainfield in the New Jersey State Conference of the NAACP activities. I am proud to have four members of our team as part of the NJ State Conference Leadership. This year is an election year for the NJ State Conference of NAACP and I would like to continue the tradition of having leadership from the Plainfield Area Unit. I will continue my committment toward the Plainfield Youth Branch, getting them involved in as many opportunities to expand their horizons as possible.

I want to thank all of you for your support of unity, harmony and
friendship. I am looking forward in the coming year to continuing the building of our youth branch. Our youth are capable of great things and it is only with our support that we can make this happen. As some of our youth members return home from college we wish you the very best and we want you to know that we are here for you.
